Built two businesses. Learned the hard way. Now sharing frameworks and connecting with founders who'd rather ship than pitch.

I'm Alex. I was an architect until I was 30. Then I taught myself to code — not out of passion, out of ambition. Built MetricSpot first — a small SEO tool that funded a decade of living abroad. Then RevenueHunt, now a 7-figure SaaS. Zero investors for either. A team of five. Profitable from day one.

I split my time between the Dominican Republic and Switzerland. I structure my life across jurisdictions so I keep more of what I earn and no single country is a single point of failure. That's not the whole story — but it's the part most founders never hear about.

Why this exists

I built this site to find founders like me — people running profitable businesses, making intentional decisions about where to live and how to structure their companies, and doing it without investors or permission.

Most of what I've learned — about bootstrapping, about structuring a business internationally, about building a life that doesn't depend on one country — I learned from other founders who were generous enough to share. This is me returning the favor. Frameworks, real numbers, real mistakes — all open.

This site is opinionated. It shares what worked for me — not every possible option, just the ones I'd actually recommend.

What's here

  • Bootstrapper Playbook — How to build profitable businesses with zero investors and a small team (plus Claude Code). Idea evaluation, distribution, moats, AI workflows.
  • Flag Theory — The 7 flags framework. Citizenship, tax residency, business structures, banking — real math, real risk. Not theory — what I actually did.
  • DR Guides — Honest takes on the Dominican Republic from a resident, not a travel blogger passing through. Cost of living, residency, citizenship, infrastructure.
  • Open Source ToolsClaude Code skills for code review, content optimization, business analysis, and international setup evaluation. Free. No paywall.

Where this is going

I'm building a coworking & wellness hub in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic. A physical space for founders who consider winter a bug (not a feature), need fast internet, and want to connect with people who think the way they do.

This site is how I find those people. Even if the hub never happens, the connections do.

The stuff nobody tells founders

Flag theory, bootstrapper playbooks, and hard-won lessons from building location-independent businesses. No "get rich quick" course — just a founder sharing what worked and finding others on the same path.
